This upcoming weekend I'll make my debut in The Flea Theatre's staple show Serials. #serials@theflea brings 5 episodic plays together for a weekend of performances. The audience votes on their favorites and the top 3 shows at the end of the weekend get to return for the next installment of their story. Come check us out this Halloween Weekend! I'm excited to announce that I'll be joining the cast of Tear a Root from the Earth for their developmental production at New Ohio Theater's Ice Factory Festival. The show looks at Afghanistan's journey through endless invasions and wars and features traditional Afghan music alongside American folk music. Performances will be July 19th-22nd. I am so excited to work with Noor Theatre for the first time on their 48 Hour Forum. The festival teams playwrights, actors and directors together for a super fast and fun two days of creating theatre based on news coming out of the Middle East. For more info on the performances and a link to tickets, click here! I'm thrilled to be working with Writopia Lab again this year on their Worldwide Plays Festival. I will be performing Tuesday May 9th at 6pm and 8pm, Saturday May 13th at 4pm as well as Sunday May 14th at 1pm. More info on the festival and the full lineup can be found here! I'm excited to be a part of a wonderful day of play readings of works by Middle Eastern playwrights this Wednesday May 19th! I'm honored to have been part of an amazing workshop of a new adaptation of Romeo and Juliet set in Damascus, Syria. The workshop was helmed by Syrian director Kholoud Sawaf and was produced by TheatreSquared based out of Arkansas. The workshop was an exploration of dance, song and text related to traditional Syrian culture alongside adaptations of Shakespeare's text. TheatreSquared plans on putting up a full production in 2018. To learn more about them, check them out here! |
