December 13th – 15th I will be performing at The Flea in their late night show Serials. This late night play competition pits 5 plays against each other and lets the audience vote each night on their favorite plays. The top 3 at the end of the weekend gets to write the next episode for the following cycle. It's always a lot of fun to be a part of and to watch!
On November 26th, I will be in a reading of Across the Aisle by Alyssa Haddad. The reading will take place at Theater for the New City in the East Village as part of their New City, New Blood Reading Series. More info here!
On Sunday, November 4th, my band fajjr+ali will make our Pianos debut in the Lower East Side. We are super excited to perform a full set of our original music at this New York staple. The show will also take place on my birthday, so what better way to help me celebrate than come out and support us! Tickets are $8 and can be purchased online or at the door!
I'm very excited to have been cast in a workshop of the new musical Eh Dah? Questions for My Father written by Aya Aziz and directed by Arpita Mukherjee. Originally an award winning solo show, it has now been expanded into a larger cast and this workshop will help to continue the development process before premiering at Next Door at NYTW.
I'm honored to be taking part in a collaboration between Palestinian and Native American artists. The collaboration will be a four day workshop where we explore the similar histories each community shares and will culminate in an evening of play readings written by or dealing with Palestinian and Native Americans. The project is produced by Donkeysaddle Projects and the Eagle Project and will take place at the American Indian Community House on Sunday October 21st at 7pm.
