I'm thrilled to be teaming up with Leila Buck and Tamilla Woodard once again on a new immersive piece titled Engagement Party. This new piece is being produced by Anne Hamburger of En Garde Arts. We will be workshopping the show in January and then again in April and May with a performance at the Georgetown Lab for Performance and Politics' Crosscurrents Festival in Washington D.C. in May!

 On January 15th, fajjr+ali will be teaming up once again with Undiscovered Countries, an arts incubator which produces bi-monthly variety shows of new work. We are excited to return with some more of our original music alongside plays, stand up routines and new music. Check out more about Undiscovered here: https://engardearts.org/  On January 4th, I'll be performing in a work in progress staged reading of Iphigenia Point Blank a new multi-disciplinary piece that examines the plight of refugees through the lens of Euripidies character Iphigenia. The production features original film and music alongside scripted material to tackle the paralells of refugees past and present. The play is written by Lisa Schlesinger, composed by Kinan Azmeh, directed by Marion Schoevaert with a film by Irinia Patkanian. The lead Iphigenia is played by Layale Chaker on the violin.
