On April 18th, I will be performing in a reading of Damascus/Aleppo by Abdullah AlKafri, a Syrian playwright based in Lebanon. The play follows a Syrian therapist who suspects his son is gay and subsequently turns him out of the house. The event is part of the NYU Abu Dhabi Institute's event Arab Voices which will feature two other works by Arab playwrights. More info and a free reservation can be made here: https://nyuad.nyu.edu/en/events/2019/april/arab-voices.html I'm super excited to be working with Simon and Schuster Publishing on my first audiobook. The book Batting Order tells the story of young Matt Baker and his experience on and off the baseball field as he struggles with his stutter and building new friendships while learning that everyone has their own hardships to deal with, no matter how well they seem on the outside. More info on the book and an audio sample can be found here! |
