I'm honored to be narrating the character of Naim in the audiobook of The Refugee Ocean by Pauls Toutonghi. The novel follows Marguerite and Naim, seperated by generations, but both dealing with the struggle of leaving their home. Moving from Aleppo on the brink of civil war, to Lebanon in the late 1940s, to Havana during the Cuban Revolution, to the suburbs of Washington, DC, The Refugee Ocean grapples with what it means to be an immigrant, shows how wounds can heal, and highlights the role of music and art in the resilience of the human spirit. I'm thrilled to be narrating the character of Rumi in the audiobook of Under This Forgetful Sky by Lauren Yero. In the not so distant future, Rumi has spent his whole life walled into the elite Upper City of St. Iago. When his dad is injured, he must make the dangerous journey to what he believes is the lawless land of Lower City. As he looks for the person who can help him find a cure, he crosses path with Paz, someone who grew up seeing the oppression inflicted upon her people by the governments of Upper City. With the powerful forces at play in their cities putting them at odds, can the two learn to trust in each other—enough to imagine a different world? More info can be found here. I'm so lucky and excited to be spending the next two months in London, studying Shakespeare at the world famous RADA. Over the next two months I'll be immersed in studying and performing a variety of Shakespeare's work including monologues, scenes, sonnets and history. The course will culminate in a workshop production, where I will be playing Cloten in Cymbeline. Some of my first experiences on stage were performing Shakespeare but I haven't been able to perform much of it in my professional life, so I'm especially excited to immerse myself in this work. More information on RADA and their courses can be found at www.rada.ac.uk. I'm excited to be jumping into an NYU Grad Student film that explores a man whose self-sabotage gets in the way of his search for love. We will be filming in April with a talented team of film students.
