 On October 3rd at 4pm EST, fajjr+ali will be sharing some of our videos as part of Hafla, a virtual concert and fundraiser that is raising money for Syrian refugees in Greece. The event will feature performances by a number of artists and all the money will go to the Syrian-Greek Youth Forum. More info can be found here and you can donate here.

 In the wake of the horrible explosion in Beirut on August 4, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, New York Theatre Salon, and the team members behind Global Forms Theater Festival are coming together to host a one-day-only benefit. We hope to both celebrate Lebanese culture, and raise money to support the people affected throughout Lebanon.

The annual event asks poets, actors, musicians and artists of all kinds to take a piece of work about love, and redefine it, respond to it or remix it. This years event is the 10th anniversary and artists will be redefining work from previous pieces that were created for the event in years past. Check out more about the event here!
 I'm so excited to be performing with my band fajjr+ali at Sofar Sounds in Boston. Sofar brings audiences together for intimate secret shows in unexpected locations. We have been a fan of Sofar for a while and are thrilled to now be one of their artists. Our show will take place on Thursday, September 26th in Somerville Massachusetts. Learn more about Sofar here!
fajjr+ali wil be performing the 99 names of Allah at Alvernia University on Friday, April 26th as a part of their Interfaith Prayer Service and Fellowship. The event is a celebration of the interfaith dialogue that has played a big part in building the community at Alvernia and we are honored to be included. More information can be found here.
 On March 16th, fajjr+ali will be teaming up with Poetic Theater Productions once again to perform at their Poetic Lyricism event. The event is a collaboration with Music Theatre Factor and will feauture original work created during the Songsmith Lab, a collaboration between Poetic Theater and MTF, alongside a number of featured performers.  fajjr+ali is very excited to be performing at the next Mipsterz event Colonized Dreams on March 9th at The Knockdown Center in Queens. The event is billed as house-party meets TED-talk, celebrating the diversity of the Muslim diaspora and speaking to the challenges of pursuing a creative path. Come ready to listen, eat, dance, and learn a thing or two. There will be live music, poetry, DJ sets, a book reading and visual art. Come check us out alongside some other great artists!  I'm excited to be performing in Serials at The Flea once again for their 50th cycle! Each weekend 5 plays compete against each other in a late night competition. At the end of the weekend, the top 3 shows based on audience votes will get to write the next episode. I will be performing in the first weekend of shows. In addition, in order to celebrate the 50th cycle of Serials, there will be live music every night. The first night, February 28th, will feature live pre-show music by fajjr+ali!  I'm excited to return to Allentown Art Museum for their Third Thursday series. Every third Thursday of the month, the museum opens its doors after hours for special programming and this month fajjr+ali will be a featured performer for the event.
